CYSA’s Fall 2026 Recreation Soccer Program – Join the Fun!
Give your child the opportunity to fall in love with soccer in a fun, supportive, and inclusive environment! CYSA’s Fall Recreation Soccer program is designed for players ages 4 to 18, focusing on skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship, and—most importantly—having FUN!
Teams practice once a week, with exciting games held on Saturdays at Diamond Hill State Park. Whether your child is new to the game or looking to continue developing their skills, this program is a great way to build confidence, make new friends, and enjoy the sport.
For our tiniest players, CYSA also offers Rugrats, a playful introduction to soccer designed for ages 2–4. This parent-participation program focuses on movement, coordination, and fun through engaging games and activities that help young children become comfortable with the ball while sharing the experience with a parent or guardian.
Rugrats meets once a week, and if your child falls within the eligible age range (Coed – August 1, 2022 – July 31,2024) during registration, you’ll simply select the time slot that works best for your family.
Coaches Needed!
Our program thrives because of amazing volunteer coaches. If you’re registering your child, please consider signing up to coach—no experience necessary, just enthusiasm and a willingness to help! We are expecting about 100 teams this year and ideal to have 2 coaches per team!
TOPSoccer
TOPSoccer (The Outreach Program for Soccer) is a national soccer program created to train young people with disabilities in a caring coaching environment.
By providing a community-based training and team placement program for young people with disabilities, any boy or girl, age 5 to 18 who has a mental or physical disability will have the opportunity to learn and play soccer and become valued and successful members of CYSA and the US YOUTH SOCCER family.
There is no cost to participate in this program.
Differentiators of TOPSoccer
- Buddies: Each participant is assigned a volunteer, trained ‘Buddy’ who is typically a little older and neurotypical. This Buddy works with their player individually and makes sure they are safe, engaged, supported, and having fun. The Player-Buddy relationship is maintained throughout the course of a season, resulting in strong interpersonal bonds and an establishment of trust and confidence that allows each player to achieve their full potential.
- Groupings: Players are grouped by ability, not just age, such that they can develop at their own pace and participate amongst others with similar abilities.
Benefits for Participants
- SOCIAL SKILLS – Players interact with their volunteer Buddy and other athletes in a fun, group setting and learn proper social behaviors.
- TEAMWORK – Players learn to trust someone else and rely on them through soccer activities and games.
- PERSEVERANCE – Players might encounter difficulties with activities, but they will be encouraged to keep trying and overcome challenges.
- CONFIDENCE – Players will achieve success on the field that carries over to their lives off the field in so many ways!

We are excited to welcome individuals 18+ to register as TOPSoccer Buddies. Buddies will be registered as coaches and will play an important role in supporting our athletes. Please note that certain requirements will apply. Click the link to learn more and register!
Referee
Fall Referee Program
Our Fall Referee Program is a great opportunity for players ages 12+ to stay involved in the game while gaining a new perspective on the field. This season, we’re enhancing the program with additional training sessions to better support our referees and improve the overall experience.
Important: Attendance at all training sessions will be mandatory in order to referee this season.
